Following submission, on 30 November 2021, of the Draft Local Plan (Reg 19), schedule of changes, and supporting documents to the Secretary of State for independent examination, public hearings took place during 2022. This main modifications consultation forms part of the examination in public of the Draft Local Plan (Reg 19), following the conclusion of the hearing sessions and ahead of the Inspectors producing their final report. These modifications have been proposed in light of the Inspectors' comments during the examination, public representations made about the plan, and discussions at the public hearings. They include further modifications considered necessary by the Inspectors in their Post hearings letter. The schedules of main modifications, policies map changes and accompanying appendices have been the subject of Integrated Impact Assessment and Habitats Regulations Assessment.

The proposed modifications are put forward without prejudice to the Inspectors’ final conclusions on the plan and they will consider all representation made on the main modifications before finalising their examination report and the schedule of recommended main modifications.

All comments and feedback (‘representations’) on these documents should be made before the consultation deadline. Representations cannot be received after this date.
