Sunday 11 May 11 am to 2 pm
Learn and share stories about local history and architecture whilst testing & improving your photography skills around south Thamesmead. This three week programme will be led by Amanda Eatwell who is a documentary and fine art photographer. You don’t need to have any previous photography knowledge, just an interest in taking pictures: Phones and cameras are welcome.
Week One: Sunday 27 April, 11am to 2pm (3 hours)
Meet and greet, discuss photography techniques & expectations. Explore the local area whilst creating images.
Week Two: Sunday 4 May, 11am to 3pm (4 hours)
Recap and share pictures from first session. Walk to Crossness Engines Trust for a guided tour. Crossness Pumping Station is a wonderful building, demonstrating Victorian splendour and telling the story of the London Sewerage system!
Week Three: Sunday 11 May, 11am to 2pm (3 hours)
Have fun making unique zines for our final session! We’ll be cutting, sticking and embellishing our own images alongside other available content.
The programme is open to all adults, and designed for participants to attend all three sessions. All sessions start at Lakeside Centre, Bazalgette Way, SE2 9AN.
