It’s National Carers Week from 10 to 16 June and an opportunity to say thank you to all of our unpaid carers.

To thank the borough’s carers, the Bexley Carers Partnership, which consists of the NHS, the Council and voluntary organisations, is hosting a free event on Tuesday 11 June at the Holiday Inn, Bexley, DA5 1ND, from 10am to 2pm.

If you are looking after someone, then why not come along and talk to other carers? There will be a gift bag for all carers on arrival, a free buffet lunch and refreshments and free activities such as massage, reiki, exercises, and drop-in art sessions.

At the event you’ll find lots of information on support and advice available to unpaid carers in the borough. You will also be able to get practical tips on coping with stress, looking after your mental health, direct payments and health and nutrition.

Free parking is available and the building is wheelchair accessible.
