Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2025
Appleton Close/Barnehurst Road, Bexleyheath - Notice of Making an Order
- The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable works to repair a collapsed pipe by Cappagh Contractors on behalf of Thames Water, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
- Prohibition of traffic (Road Closure) for the entire length of Appleton Close, Bexleyheath#
- The Order will come into effect on 10 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 12 days
- Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be available
- Access will be maintained
- Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
- The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

- The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable JDT Utilities Ltd on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
- Prohibition of traffic in Bradbourne Road, Bexley
- Prohibition of traffic in Elmington Close, Bexley
- Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition Bradbourne Road, Bexley entire length and both sides of the carriageway
- Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition Elmington Close, Bexley entire length and both sides of the carriageway.
Restrictions to be removed when not required.
- The Order will come into effect on 6 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 4 weeks.
- Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be available. However, access is to be always maintained for residents and emergency vehicles.

- The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable gas mains replacement by JDT Utilities on behalf of Southern Gas Networks they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
- Cycle Lane suspension from Welling Way to the boundary with Royal Borough of Greenwich
- No waiting no loading as detailed in schedule one of this order
- The Order will come into effect on 13 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.
- Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be available
- Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians Order 2025
Footpath 242, Thames Pathway, Belvedere - Notice of Intention
- The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned footpath, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable the construction of a bridge and maintenance to the Thames Path wall by TSL on behalf of Lidl GB Ltd they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be to close Footpath 242 and Thames Pathway to pedestrian traffic between junction with Crabtree Manor way and the rear of Lidl Distribution centre
- The Order will come into effect on 13 March 2025 and is valid for a period of 6 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 16 weeks
- Whilst the works are in progress, Thames Path, Cycle Route, Church Manorway , Mulberry Way, Anderson Way, Picardy Manorway, Norman Road, Footpath 4 will be available for pedestrians.

The Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction)(Amendment No xx) Traffic Order 2019 The Bexley (Loading Places) (Amendment No. xx) Traffic Order 2024 The Bexley (Abbey Wood Station) (Parking Places) (Amendment No. XX) Traffic Order 2025
- Notice is Hereby Given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make the above mentioned Order under sections 6, and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985.
- The general effect of the Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No xx) Traffic Order 2025 would be
- to make minor changes to various scheduled definitions of lengths of waiting and loading restrictions in the Bexley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Traffic Order 2019, without physically changing any existing markings so that the definitions of those lengths of waiting and loading restrictions in the Order schedules accurately reflect the existing markings on street and facilitate better enforcement.
- The general effect of the Bexley (Loading Places) (Amendment No xx) Traffic Order 2025 would be
- to make minor changes to various scheduled definitions of lengths of Loading Place restrictions in the Bexley (Loading Places) Traffic Order 2019, without physically changing any existing markings so that the definitions of those lengths of waiting and loading restrictions in the Order schedules accurately reflect the existing markings on street and facilitate better enforcement.
- The general effect of the Bexley (Abbey Wood Station)(Parking Places) (Amendment No xx) Traffic Order 2025 would be
- to make minor changes to various scheduled definitions of lengths of Parking Place restrictions in the Bexley (Abbey Wood)(Parking Places) Traffic Order 2018, without physically changing any existing markings so that the definitions of those lengths of waiting and loading restrictions in the Order schedules accurately reflect the existing markings on street and facilitate better enforcement
- to propose a change to remove a section of bay outside of No 69 Overton Road which currently operates between 11am and 1pm Monday to Friday. The removed section of bay will be replaced with a single yellow line operating between 11am to 1pm Monday to Friday.
- Copies of the Orders, (and the Orders that have amended those Orders); the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders and maps which indicates the length of roads to which the Orders relate can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the Contact Centre, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7AT.

- Notice Is Hereby Given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley have on 3 March 2025 made the above titled Traffic Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended as amended by Section 8 of and Part 1 of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985 and all other enabling powers.
- The general effects of the Bexley (Disabled Persons Parking Places) Traffic Order 2025 amendment order would be to: -
