Community Notice - Pantiles Methodist Church, Hurlingham Road, Bexleyheath, Kent, DA7 5PF
Notice is hereby given that the owner of the above property has notified the London Borough of Bexley that it intends to dispose of the freehold interest in the property with vacant possession. The property was added to the Borough’s list of Assets of Community Value in May 2023.
An interim moratorium period has now been triggered, during which eligible community interest groups must notify the Council if they wish to be treated as a potential bidder for the asset. The Council must receive this notification by 2nd December 2024. A request to be treated as a potential bidder form is available on the Nominate an asset page the Council’s website.
An eligible community interest group must have a local connection with the property and fall within one or more of the following categories (a) a charity (b) a community interest company (c) a company limited by guarantee that is non-profit distributing or (d) an industrial and provident society that is non-profit distributing.
The owner of the asset may not dispose of the asset during the interim moratorium period. If no community interest group requests to be treated as a potential bidder during the interim moratorium period the full moratorium period is not triggered and the owner may proceed to dispose of the asset.
Temporary Restriction of Vehicular Traffic Order 2024
Valley Road, Erith - Notice of Making an Order
- The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that an order has been made, to enable essential works to the water network by Morrisons Water Services on behalf of Thames Water, the effects of which will be the introduction of:
- Prohibition of traffic in Valley Road, Erith from the junction with Franks Park to the junction with Hillside, Erith - The Order will come into effect on 26 November 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 77 days.
- Whilst the works are in progress no alternative routes will be available however, full access will be always maintained for residents.
- Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
- The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

Hill View Drive, Welling - Notice of Intention
- The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable JDT Utilities Ltd on behalf of Southern Gas Networks to undertake their Gas Mains Replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
- Prohibition of traffic of Hill View Drive, Welling
- Waiting restriction and Loading prohibition on Hill View Drive entire length of the road, both sides of the carriageway.
Restrictions to be removed when not required. - The Order will come into effect on 2 December 2024 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
- Whilst the works are in progress alternative routes will be via:
- Sandringham Drive, Wickham Street, Bellegrove Road, Hill View Drive and reverse. - Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

- The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above-mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Hereby Give Notice that, to enable Gas mains replacement they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be the introduction of:
- Prohibition of traffic (road closure) in Glenview, Abbey Wood for 30 meters up to and including the junction with West Heath Road as and when works require.
- Prohibition of traffic (road closure) in Amberely Road for 30 meters up to and including the junction with West Heath Road, Abbey Wood as and when works require.
- Prohibition of traffic (road closure) in Burcharbro Road for 30 meters up to and including the junction with West Heath Road, Abbey Wood as and when works require.
- No waiting no loading (parking restrictions) as detailed in schedule one of this order.
