Today (16 April) is national offer day for primary school places and in Bexley 93% of children received their first choice primary school place.
99% of Bexley parents applied for the school places online and they were notified of the school offer by email. Letters were posted to all other applicants by first class mail.
There were 2,766 applications from Bexley residents this year. Of these 93% of children have been offered their first preference, 4.6% second preference and 1.1% their third preference. 99.17% will receive one of their six preferences.
London figures show that:
- 98.7% of Bexley Children offered one of their top three preferences compared to 97% across London
- 99.17% of Bexley Children offered a place at one of their preferred schools compared to 98% across London
- 93% of Bexley Children offered their first preference compared to 89% across London
