Offers for secondary school places have been made today, Monday 3 March.

This year, 98.74% of parents in Bexley applied online and will receive an email after 5pm with details of their child’s offer and further guidance. Letters have been posted today by first-class mail to those who applied using a paper form.

All online applicants will receive an email advising them to log in to their e-admissions account, where they can view their child’s offer and find guidance on what to do if they did not receive their first preference.

There were 2,997 applications from Bexley residents this year, slightly fewer than last year’s 3,017. The number of Bexley children offered a place at a Bexley secondary school has risen to 77.4%, up from 75.9% last year. Additionally, 90.3% of applicants received one of their top three preferences, an increase from 89.2% last year.

Cllr Caroline Newton, Cabinet Member for Education, said:

Receiving a secondary school offer is a significant milestone for families. We are pleased that more children have secured a place at one of their preferred schools, particularly their first choice. I want to thank our Schools Admissions team for their hard work in supporting families through this process.”

Further details can be found in the offer email or letter.
