As we enter spring season we are gearing up for the annual Weed Control programme.

Scheduled to run from April to September, three boroughwide sprays will be carried out. The sprays are dependant on weather conditions, with each boroughwide spray taking approximately four weeks.

Following the spray, it will take around 10 days for the weeds to die off and turn brown. The Street Cleansing Team will then remove the weeds as part of their routine cleansing.

Removing the weeds too soon will result in a rapid re-growth. If you see weeds popping up, please be patient as weeds die back takes around 10 days from application.
