Who are we?
Bexley Youth Council is inclusive and represents all voices of young people living or educated in the Bexley Borough aged 11 to 18.
The BYC works in partnership with a range of services and providers including the community sector to highlight and improve issues impacting young people in Bexley.
Our campaigns
The youth council has worked on several campaigns which have been rolled out across schools in Bexley and have been featured in regional news including ITV.
Some issues previously tackled include:
- Knife crime
- Drugs and alcohol abuse
- Never fear secondary is here - Members of Bexley Youth Council have made a video to talk about their transition from primary to secondary school and give their account of how they overcame their anxieties
