The London Borough of Bexley is delivering the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme which is being funded by the Department for Education.
The HAF programme provides a variety of fun activities, including sports, food making activities, arts and crafts and other exciting opportunities to learn and develop skills. It’s for school aged children and young people from Reception to Year 11, and runs during the easter, summer and winter school holidays.
Places are funded for those who receive benefits-related Free School Meals (FSM) and attend a school in Bexley. Children and young people also receive a free balanced meal as part of their day.
Benefits-related FSM are available to children and young people if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits. Please note that they are different from universal infant free school meals (which provide free meals to all pupils in reception, year 1, and year); and the Mayor’s Free School Meals Initiative (which provide free meals to all pupils in Key Stage 2 attending a school in a London Borough).
Paid for places are also available at some of the schemes for those not eligible for the funded places.
HAF Programmes are also running in Bromley, Greenwich and Kent, so families attending schools outside of Bexley will be able to apply to those programmes.
Winter Holiday Programme
The Bexley HAF Programme will return for the Winter school holidays.
Please check back in November for further details.
