Introduction

This is the four-year Bexley Community Safety Partnership (BCSP) Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy

This Strategy follows the release of the Mayor of London’s Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy for London 2022-2025, which laid out the pan-London objectives for tackling VAWG and set the standards for professionals working within London to improve services and approaches to addressing different types of abuse that VAWG encompasses.

This Strategy sets out our overall partnership goals for tackling VAWG by 2028 and localises the objectives of the MOPAC Strategy. The overarching aim of this Strategy is to reduce and prevent incidents of violence against women and girls in the borough and help support survivors and communities involved. This increases resilience and feelings of safety, promotes inclusion, and empowers residents to seek help when needed. This Strategy will be refreshed annually to reflect work done and any new concerns requiring new steps.
