Marvellous Makers

Summer Reading Challenge 2024

Delivered in partnership with Libraries

This year’s theme for the Summer Reading Challenge is Marvellous Makers and will be a celebration of the creative arts.

The Summer Reading Challenge is run by the Reading Agency and offered from all Bexley Libraries.

Children read six books of their choice over the summer holidays, collect rewards from libraries along the way and receive a medal and certificate when they complete the challenge.

The challenge runs from 6 July to 7 September and is for children of all ages and reading abilities.

Visit your local library and discover the amazing things going on this summer. As well as shelves of wonderful books to borrow, why not try some of our free eBooks and eAudiobooks for children, including “The Wimpy Kid” and “Dork Diaries” series.
