What's on for youth (8 to 16)
Saturday Youth Club (1pm to 3pm)
Saturday Youth Club is the perfect way to experience a water sport whether you’re a beginner or experienced. The sessions are led by our team of experienced instructors and include fun structured games to allow skills development across the sports, which will be offered across the block.
Sessions run on Saturdays from 1pm to 3pm between April and October (weather dependent).
You must book a whole block it is not possible to only attend one session.
Pre-booking and payment are required.
School holiday programmes
The school holiday programmes run 9.30am to 3.30pm throughout the year.
Our school holiday programme offers a multi-sport experience filled with thrilling sailing, kayaking, canoeing, Stand Up Paddleboarding and bell boating for 8 to 16-year-olds of all abilities.
No experience is necessary, our instructors will teach the basics to get everyone on the water and taking part as soon as possible.
Home Education Session (1.30pm to 3.30pm)
Our Home Education sessions are run Tuesdays from May to June and from September to November 1.30pm to 3.30pm. We offer a range of activities across each block of sessions.
You must book a whole block it is not possible to only attend one session.

Youth courses
Sailing
Courses are available for those aged 8 to 16, individuals can take part in RYA Stage One, Two, Three and Four courses.
Each Stage is based on a two-day course running from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
- Stage One - gives a basic understanding of how to handle the boat, steering and wind awareness
- Stage Two - focusing on basic sailing skills, ropework and turning whilst controlling the boat speed
- Stage Three - covers everything from man overboard recovery to sailing around a triangular course
- Stage Four - looks at sailing both single and double-handed dinghies focusing on more in-depth techniques and manoeuvres
Paddle sports (8 to 16)
British Canoeing Discover Award - Kayaking
The Paddle Discover Awards enable the paddler to develop decision making and fundamental skills beginning the process of becoming an independent paddler.
Powerboating
Powerboat courses can be arranged on request.
