Ombudsman complaints

During the 2022 to 2023 period, the Ombudsman reviewed a total of nine complaints. The outcomes of these investigations were as follows:

It found fault in three cases, with the service provided. These cases involved issues such as neglect due to incompetent care at Lyndhurst Nursing Home and Bexley Council's approach to investigating these issues, as well as dissatisfaction with the recommendations provided.

In one case, the Ombudsman did not find any fault with the service provided and determined that the service had dealt with the complaint correctly.

There were five cases where the Ombudsman did not investigate. This was due to various reasons such as the complaint being resolved internally or not falling within the Ombudsman's remit.
