A Shared Lives carer shares their home, family and community life with a person over 18 who requires care and support. It provides an opportunity to see the amazing difference you can make to a person’s life whilst providing the ultimate ‘work from home’ opportunity.
The Shared Lives scheme supports adults with care and support needs which may make it difficult for them to live on their own. Shared lives matches carers and people requiring support based on shared interests and lifestyles. It feels like an ordinary life for someone who needs support – and doesn’t feel like a ‘job’ for you!
We are looking for Shared Lives carers who can provide a wide range of care and support, as the people the scheme supports have many different needs.
We offer competitive rates of pay, full support, training and access to the network of Shared Lives carers, so you are not alone.
Our Shared Lives carers come from all walks of life and choose to care for a wide variety of reasons. Formal experience of caring is less important than enthusiasm, motivation and commitment.
