Ombudsman complaints

In 2023/24, the Ombudsman reviewed four complaints about our Adult Social Care services. It chose not to investigate all four cases. The causes of these complaints were disagreements over charges, dissatisfaction with decisions, inadequate services provided by a third party, and failures to act on specific service requests. These cases involved the Complex Care and Integrated Commissioning service areas.

The number of cases progressing to the Ombudsman in this period was 66% less than last year where nine complaints were considered and shows that we have been able to resolve more complaints through our complaints process.
